Energy Marshall Our client is an established engineering & construction main contractor undertaking a new build data centre schemes across Northern & Central Europe. This organisation undertakes a full turnkey solution constructing these facilities from the initial design phase through groundworks, build through to the M&E installation, fit out and handover. Company turnover is currently €1.3bn and they continue to grow 10% - 15% per year. The need now exists for now seeking an experienced Energy Marshall to join the project team delivering a €500m+ Data Centre in Sweden The Energy Marshall will be responsible for the oversight and control of all electrical energy systems during the construction of a hyperscale data centre. Acting as the central point of coordination for energy-related activities, the role ensures the safe and compliant management of electrical energisation, isolation, and commissioning processes in line with project and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and enforce lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures across the site. Requirements: • Electrical or engineering background with relevant qualifications.
• Coordinate all temporary and permanent electrical energisation activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Liaise with subcontractors, commissioning teams, and client representatives.
• Maintain accurate records of all energy-related activities and permits.
• Support incident investigations involving electrical systems.
• Experience in large-scale construction projects, preferably data centres.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations and practices.
• Proven ability to manage high-risk energy environments.
